Underground Comics

  I know that Underground Comics born in the hippie movement and it brings a huge impact and lasting influence to American society. The culture forms, life styles and ethics are have totally different with the traditional old era America. However, this type of comics is entertaining comic works that is no commercial value production, everybody has been using their spare time to create the comics. So, what I was very interested is why people keep create those comics and what is the value of creating the underground comics?

  I got some result after class discussion. Underground Comic is no lack of readership and because of being a cartoonist, people don't have to speak serious topics as known set point to prove something. They just need to put their life or feelings of this American land to the comics. They can be the voice for telling the life that they want to be.
