Understanding Comics

We currently read Scott McCould's Understanding Comics.

As he said, he thinks that there are some common principles in visual communication.

Nonfiction comics artists, data journalists, even visual facilitator, they study the similar body language and facial expression; they're all engaged in the struggle to be better understand for telling people. They accidentally meet the same principles.

In his book, I am really interest how his descries the character and show the writer own self. Concrete expression let people see the character, abstract expression let people see writer's thinking. The comics artists always offer amount features to build a vivid character, but they also put some equivocal dialogue to imply what they though.
