Week 8: Stereotype And The Ethics Representation

I read Between A Rock and a Hard Place by Kasia Babis this week.

People has Stereotype with women. If a girl wears a make up and dresses up that means she trying to impress men, she fight the patriarchy. However, if this girl no wearing those things, people will think is she trying to prove something? And this comic records people's thought down, a girl is holding the clothes and think of what people say.

In the early years, people still have stereotype with Asian people, so the comics and the political cartoons in that period shows the impression of Asian.

Some people might ask what is the negative influence of Japanese comics?
I think that is a stereotype of Japanese comics, because nobody would ask this kind of questions normally: What is the negative influence of American novel? What is the negative influence of Indian film? What is the negative influence of British stage play.
